We are sick of people stealing our ideas. It's happened to us way too many times. It's a simple principle - if it's not your idea, you must pay its author if you want to use it. We have established Ideas Union to record, register and legally protect commercially valuable ideas of people like us - professionals in their field.
These ideas may not be patentable in the traditional sense (or pre-patent), but they obviously still have real commercial value, which companies want to use for profit - otherwise people wouldn't try to steal them.

We empower IU members to take concepts they believe have commercial value to organisations or individuals (for financing, business partnership or distribution deals etc) fully confident they can’t steal your idea without paying you, our member, for the concept on the terms you specify.

1. Fairness: we aim for outcomes any reasonable person would call fair.

2. Originality: the originator of a concept deserves a substantial share of the reward/profit.

3. Mutual Value: deals work when both sides see value; royalties, flat fees, revenue share, whatever you agree.

4. Autonomy: members decide if, how, and to whom they license their Comcept. No permission = NO USE.

5. Privacy by default: Ideas Union don’t view your information unless you ask us, or a court requires it.

6. Sustainable business: a portion of our success funds legal & negotiation services, when required.

7. Professionalism: Ideas Union membership is only open to recognised professionals.

How do we do this? As you know, whomever has the most money usually wins legal fights. 

We pool membership funds to win legal fights on behalf of our members. We ensure that member's valid ownership claims are protected and will spend whatever it takes to ensure that larger, wealthier companies pay to use your concepts.

Ideas Union can afford many millions in legal fees, so you win the case. There are no maximum costs for a case, we will literally spend as much as it takes. 

If we do lose the occasional rare case and have to pay damages, the collective membership fund pays that, not you, our member personally.

To ensure long-term viability, Ideas Union keeps 25% of member's 'wins' in jurisdictions where that is allowed.

Ideas Union was founded in 2025 by a collective of professionals who are tired of taking business ideas or opportunities to larger players and having valuable 'comcepts' stolen by the company they were pitched to.

Our goal is simple: level the playing field, so creative teams have the same power as big companies.

We see a world where it doesn’t matter the depth of the pockets of the professional, their ownership of ideas is taken seriously, because our members now have the legal firepower to successfully prosecute idea thieves.
